There
are four ways in which you could help us.....
-
Development
Fund Donation
-
Start Up Loan Funding
-
Internet
Research Associates
-
Microenterprise Mentoring
1. Development Fund
Donations
Many
business ideas need help and incur some expense in developing
and preparing samples or testing their products or service with
customers.
We will be
very pleased to receive donations toward micro business
development costs as a Development Fund.
Donations to
this fund of any amount can be gift aided
2.
Start Up Loan Funding
Micro
businesses in developing countries may require from £500 to
£3,000 start up investment.
We encourage
anyone starting a business to plan for the very lowest possible
start up cost and we discourage anyone from borrowing start up
money if they can possibly find it by other means. However, it
is accepted that for many there is no option but to seek loan
funding.
Interest on
unsecured loans from banks or microfinance agencies in
developing countries, if available is often at over 20%, to
ensure full cost recovery and profit from handling very small
loans.
We want therefore to offer a carefully
selective and possibly unique on line loan scheme, at a minimal
reasonable interest level - see details on
Funding Support
This would provide
unsecured
loan funding for up to three years at 7% interest (3% for Aid
for Trade administration and 4% gross interest to the loan fund)
We will be posting specific funding
requests so that a choice can be made and your investment can be
immediately allocated.
You will receive feedback on the
progress of the business and your funding will be returned to
you as and when received by annual repayments from the business
you are helping.
It must be emphasized that notwithstanding
every effort we can make, in developing countries just as in the
West, there is risk of failure of any new business and potential
loss of all or some of your investment.
Part of our strategy is to
establish viable model businesses which if replicated will
reduce the learning curve and greatly reduce the risk of failure
and financial loss.
3. Internet Research
Associates

Help is needed to generate useful information from the internet
that can be used or referred to on our website. We need to
recruit internet research associates who can give some time
using the internet to generate information and links on a wide
range of topics.
This help can be done anywhere where you have internet access,
at any time and for as much time as you can spare.
There is a wide range of subjects we need information on, but
priority at this time is to generate ‘know how’ on each of the
seventy microenterprises identified on our website (Microenterprises)
– each of which will already exist somewhere and possibly in
very many places
If
you would like to help us in this way please
contact us
and suggest which one to three
microenterprises you would like to research.
4.
Microenterprise
Mentoring
A
major reason for the often low level of enterprise start ups in
developing countries is the lack of ‘know how’ and completes
absence of any help.
Whilst we will provide through this website as much help as
possible it would still be
a great encouragement to a start up
entrepreneur if they had contact with someone who would offer
guidance and direction when needed

We are seeking
people with business experience willing to help a
microenterprise start up or development project by mentoring a
business owner (Or if they do not speak English via a local
mission or charity worker) using email and possibly telephone.
This need not be time consuming but could
be a great encouragement and help .
If you would like to help us in this way please
contact us
and send a copy of your CV.
